إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ فَلَهُمۡ أَجۡرٌ غَيۡرُ مَمۡنُونٍ۬ ٦
Except those who believe and lead a righteous life; they receive a reward that is well deserved.

These verses clearly tell us that the humans, besides being created in the best design, were also honored over the angels as God commanded them to fall prostrate to Adam. But when they joined satan in rebelling against God, they were turned into the lowliest of the lowly. Therefore, their actions in this life will also be very lowly, if they continue to disbelieve.
