The Shattering

إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنفَطَرَتۡ ١

When the Heaven is shattered.

وَإِذَا ٱلۡكَوَاكِبُ ٱنتَثَرَتۡ ٢

The planets are scattered.

وَإِذَا ٱلۡبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتۡ ٣

The oceans are exploded.

وَإِذَا ٱلۡقُبُورُ بُعۡثِرَتۡ ٤

The graves are opened.

عَلِمَتۡ نَفۡسٌ۬ مَّا قَدَّمَتۡ وَأَخَّرَتۡ ٥

Every soul will find out what caused it to advance, and what caused it to regress.

يَـٰٓأَيُّہَا ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ ٱلۡڪَرِيمِ ٦

O you human being, what diverted you from your Lord Most Honorable?

ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّٮٰكَ فَعَدَلَكَ ٧

The One who created you, designed you, and perfected you.

فِىٓ أَىِّ صُورَةٍ۬ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَ ٨

In whatever design He chose, He constructed it.

كَلَّا بَلۡ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِٱلدِّينِ ٩

Indeed, you disbelieve in the religion.

وَإِنَّ عَلَيۡكُمۡ لَحَـٰفِظِينَ ١٠

Oblivious to the fact that there are (invisible) keepers around you.

كِرَامً۬ا كَـٰتِبِينَ ١١

They are honest recorders.

يَعۡلَمُونَ مَا تَفۡعَلُونَ ١٢

They record everything you do.

إِنَّ ٱلۡأَبۡرَارَ لَفِى نَعِيمٍ۬ ١٣

Surely, the pious have deserved bliss.

وَإِنَّ ٱلۡفُجَّارَ لَفِى جَحِيمٍ۬ ١٤

While the wicked have deserved Hell.

يَصۡلَوۡنَہَا يَوۡمَ ٱلدِّينِ ١٥

Will incur it on the Day of Judgment.

وَمَا هُمۡ عَنۡہَا بِغَآٮِٕبِينَ ١٦

They never leave it.

وَمَآ أَدۡرَٮٰكَ مَا يَوۡمُ ٱلدِّينِ ١٧

Awesome is the Day of Judgment.

ثُمَّ مَآ أَدۡرَٮٰكَ مَا يَوۡمُ ٱلدِّينِ ١٨

What a day; the Day of Judgment!

يَوۡمَ لَا تَمۡلِكُ نَفۡسٌ۬ لِّنَفۡسٍ۬ شَيۡـًٔ۬ا‌ۖ وَٱلۡأَمۡرُ يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ۬ لِلَّهِ ١٩

That is the day when no soul can help another soul, and all decisions, on that day, will belong to ALLAH.
