Dispatched

وَٱلۡمُرۡسَلَـٰتِ عُرۡفً۬ا ١

(angels) dispatched in succession.

فَٱلۡعَـٰصِفَـٰتِ عَصۡفً۬ا ٢

To drive the wind.

وَٱلنَّـٰشِرَٲتِ نَشۡرً۬ا ٣

Stir up clouds.

فَٱلۡفَـٰرِقَـٰتِ فَرۡقً۬ا ٤

Distribute the provisions.

فَٱلۡمُلۡقِيَـٰتِ ذِكۡرًا ٥

Deliver messages.

عُذۡرًا أَوۡ نُذۡرًا ٦

Good news, as well as warnings.

إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَٲقِعٌ۬ ٧

What is promised will come to pass.

فَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ طُمِسَتۡ ٨

Thus, when the stars are put out.

وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ فُرِجَتۡ ٩

The sky is opened up.

وَإِذَا ٱلۡجِبَالُ نُسِفَتۡ ١٠

The mountains are blown up.

وَإِذَا ٱلرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتۡ ١١

The messengers are summoned.

لِأَىِّ يَوۡمٍ أُجِّلَتۡ ١٢

That is the appointed day.

لِيَوۡمِ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ ١٣

The Day of Decision.

وَمَآ أَدۡرَٮٰكَ مَا يَوۡمُ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ ١٤

What a Day of Decision!

وَيۡلٌ۬ يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ۬ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ ١٥

Woe on that day to the rejectors.

أَلَمۡ نُہۡلِكِ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ ١٦

Did we not annihilate the earlier generations?

ثُمَّ نُتۡبِعُهُمُ ٱلۡأَخِرِينَ ١٧

Then we made others follow them?

كَذَٲلِكَ نَفۡعَلُ بِٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ ١٨

This is what we do to the criminals.

وَيۡلٌ۬ يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ۬ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ ١٩

Woe on that day to the rejectors.

أَلَمۡ نَخۡلُقكُّم مِّن مَّآءٍ۬ مَّهِينٍ۬ ٢٠

Did we not create you from a lowly liquid?

فَجَعَلۡنَـٰهُ فِى قَرَارٍ۬ مَّكِينٍ ٢١

Then we placed it in a well-protected repository.

إِلَىٰ قَدَرٍ۬ مَّعۡلُومٍ۬ ٢٢

For a specific period.

فَقَدَرۡنَا فَنِعۡمَ ٱلۡقَـٰدِرُونَ ٢٣

We measured it precisely. We are the best designers.

وَيۡلٌ۬ يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ۬ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ ٢٤

Woe on that day to the rejectors.

أَلَمۡ نَجۡعَلِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ كِفَاتًا ٢٥

Did we not make the Earth an abode?

أَحۡيَآءً۬ وَأَمۡوَٲتً۬ا ٢٦

For the living and the dead?

وَجَعَلۡنَا فِيہَا رَوَٲسِىَ شَـٰمِخَـٰتٍ۬ وَأَسۡقَيۡنَـٰكُم مَّآءً۬ فُرَاتً۬ا ٢٧

We placed on it stabilizers (high mountains), and provided you with fresh water to drink.

وَيۡلٌ۬ يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ۬ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ ٢٨

Woe on that day to the rejectors.

ٱنطَلِقُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ ٢٩

Go to what you used to disbelieve in.

ٱنطَلِقُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ ظِلٍّ۬ ذِى ثَلَـٰثِ شُعَبٍ۬ ٣٠

Go to a shade of three different densities.

لَّا ظَلِيلٍ۬ وَلَا يُغۡنِى مِنَ ٱللَّهَبِ ٣١

Yet, it provides neither coolness, nor protection from the heat.

إِنَّہَا تَرۡمِى بِشَرَرٍ۬ كَٱلۡقَصۡرِ ٣٢

It throws sparks as big as mansions.

كَأَنَّهُ ۥ جِمَـٰلَتٌ۬ صُفۡرٌ۬ ٣٣

As yellow as the color of camels.

وَيۡلٌ۬ يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ۬ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ ٣٤

Woe on that day to the rejectors.

هَـٰذَا يَوۡمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ ٣٥

That is the day they do not speak.

وَلَا يُؤۡذَنُ لَهُمۡ فَيَعۡتَذِرُونَ ٣٦

Nor are they given permission to apologize.

وَيۡلٌ۬ يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ۬ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ ٣٧

Woe on that day to the rejectors.

هَـٰذَا يَوۡمُ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ‌ۖ جَمَعۡنَـٰكُمۡ وَٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ ٣٨

This is the Day of Decision. We have summoned you and the previous generations.

فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمۡ كَيۡدٌ۬ فَكِيدُونِ ٣٩

If you have any schemes, go ahead and scheme.

وَيۡلٌ۬ يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ۬ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ ٤٠

Woe on that day to the rejectors.

إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ فِى ظِلَـٰلٍ۬ وَعُيُونٍ۬ ٤١

The righteous will enjoy shade and springs.

وَفَوَٲكِهَ مِمَّا يَشۡتَہُونَ ٤٢

And fruits that they desire.

كُلُواْ وَٱشۡرَبُواْ هَنِيٓـَٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ ٤٣

Eat and drink happily in return for your works.

إِنَّا كَذَٲلِكَ نَجۡزِى ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ ٤٤

We thus reward the virtuous.

وَيۡلٌ۬ يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ۬ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ ٤٥

Woe on that day to the rejectors.

كُلُواْ وَتَمَتَّعُواْ قَلِيلاً إِنَّكُم مُّجۡرِمُونَ ٤٦

Eat and enjoy temporarily; you are guilty.

وَيۡلٌ۬ يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ۬ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ ٤٧

Woe on that day to the rejectors.

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱرۡكَعُواْ لَا يَرۡكَعُونَ ٤٨

When they are told, "Bow down," they do not bow down.

وَيۡلٌ۬ يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ۬ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ ٤٩

Woe on that day to the rejectors.

فَبِأَىِّ حَدِيثِۭ بَعۡدَهُ ۥ يُؤۡمِنُونَ ٥٠

Which Hadees, other than this, do they uphold?
