The Proof

لَمۡ يَكُنِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِنۡ أَهۡلِ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ وَٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ مُنفَكِّينَ حَتَّىٰ تَأۡتِيَہُمُ ٱلۡبَيِّنَةُ ١

Those who disbelieved among the people of the scripture, as well as the idol worshipers, insist on their ways, despite the proof given to them.

رَسُولٌ۬ مِّنَ ٱللهِ يَتۡلُواْ صُحُفً۬ا مُّطَهَّرَةً۬ ٢

A messenger from ALLAH is reciting to them sacred instructions.

فِيہَا كُتُبٌ۬ قَيِّمَةٌ۬ ٣

In them there are valuable teachings.

وَمَا تَفَرَّقَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا جَآءَتۡہُمُ ٱلۡبَيِّنَةُ ٤

In fact, those who received the scripture did not dispute until the proof was given to them.

وَمَآ أُمِرُوٓاْ إِلَّا لِيَعۡبُدُواْ ٱللَّهَ مُخۡلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ حُنَفَآءَ وَيُقِيمُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَيُؤۡتُواْ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ‌ۚ وَذَٲلِكَ دِينُ ٱلۡقَيِّمَةِ ٥

All that was asked of them was to worship ALLAH, devoting the religion absolutely to Him, observe the Salat (Contact Prayer), and give the Zakat (Obligatory Charity). Such is the perfect religion.

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِنۡ أَهۡلِ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ وَٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ فِى نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ خَـٰلِدِينَ فِيہَآ‌ۚ أُوْلَـٰٓٮِٕكَ هُمۡ شَرُّ ٱلۡبَرِيَّةِ ٦

Those who disbelieved among the people of the scripture, and the idol worshipers, have incurred the fire of Hell forever. They are the worst creatures.

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ أُوْلَـٰٓٮِٕكَ هُمۡ خَيۡرُ ٱلۡبَرِيَّةِ ٧

Those who believed and led a righteous life are the best creatures.

جَزَآؤُهُمۡ عِندَ رَبِّہِمۡ جَنَّـٰتُ عَدۡنٍ۬ تَجۡرِى مِن تَحۡتِہَا ٱلۡأَنۡہَـٰرُ خَـٰلِدِينَ فِيہَآ أَبَدً۬ا‌ۖ رَّضِىَ ٱللَّهُ عَنۡہُمۡ وَرَضُواْ عَنۡهُ‌ۚ ذَٲلِكَ لِمَنۡ خَشِىَ رَبَّهُ ۥ ٨

Their reward at their Lord is the gardens of Eden with flowing streams, wherein they abide forever. ALLAH is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. Such is the reward for those who reverence their Lord.
