62:10 Once the prayer is completed, you may spread through the land to seek ALLAH's bounties, and continue to remember ALLAH frequently, that you may succeed.

Through the verses, you have been informed that performing the Salat in the Masjid is not a must, just like the so-called muslims rush for every prayer. When there is a messenger in the Masjid, then the believers who take advantage of performing alongside with him do earn extra credits. In this case, I refer you back to verses 62:10-11. Moreover, the Masjid according to the Quran can be a home or an outside structure constructed to worship Allah.
