6:54

When those who believe in our revelations come to you, you shall say, "Salamun Alaykum (Peace be upon you). Your Lord has decreed that mercy is His attribute. Thus, anyone among you who commits a transgression out of ignorance, and repents thereafter and reforms, then He is Forgiving, Most Merciful."

Disease and Afflictions

God has commanded the people to submit to Him fully and not to follow the steps of satan Page 12
The fact that Job implored his Lord for help directly, God showed His mercy towards him, and intervened right away, to save him from satan. As a Creator, He is Most Compassionate and Most Merciful. Without His absolute mercy, life could not continue on Earth for even a moment. This should serve as a lesson for all believers. I recite to you, part of verses 6:12 and 6:54.
