Followers Of The Scriptures Are Commanded To Honor Their Covenants

5:14

وَمِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا نَصَـٰرَىٰٓ أَخَذۡنَا مِيثَـٰقَهُمۡ فَنَسُواْ حَظًّ۬ا مِّمَّا ذُڪِّرُواْ بِهِۦ فَأَغۡرَيۡنَا بَيۡنَهُمُ ٱلۡعَدَاوَةَ وَٱلۡبَغۡضَآءَ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ ٱلۡقِيَـٰمَةِ‌ۚ وَسَوۡفَ يُنَبِّئُهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِمَا ڪَانُواْ يَصۡنَعُونَ ١٤

Also from those who said, "We are Christian," we took their covenant. But they disregarded some of the commandments given to them. Consequently, we condemned them to animosity and hatred among themselves, until the Day of Resurrection. ALLAH will then inform them of everything they had done.

    Before the so-called Muslims and followers of the Quran think that their Lord is happy with them and they have been exempted from God’s condemnation, let me add another dimension through a verse that applies to them. I will recite similar portion of God’s decree and then compare with verses above, 5:14 and 5:64.
