بَلۡ مَتَّعۡتُ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ وَءَابَآءَهُمۡ حَتَّىٰ جَآءَهُمُ ٱلۡحَقُّ وَرَسُولٌ۬ مُّبِينٌ۬ ٢٩
Indeed, I have given these people and their ancestors sufficient chances, then the truth came to them, and a clarifying messenger.

It is clear that God has planned it this way and reflects on God’s awesome and phenomenal powers and wisdom, while also reflecting on His eternal existence, absoluteness, and omnipotence.
