وَأَرۡسَلۡنَـٰهُ إِلَىٰ مِاْئَةِ أَلۡفٍ أَوۡ يَزِيدُونَ ١٤٧
Then we sent him to a hundred thousand, or more.
Proofs and revelations
37:147 - The verse number reflects the Miracle of Seven Pairs through the numbers 14 and 7. The verse informs us about the maximum number of believers at any given time which was a hundred thousand or more and this is proven to the number assigned to the subsequent verse (148) which stands for Alhumdo Lillah.
See verse 51:36 which mentions only one house of submitters. Both of the verses teach us that the number believers at any one time are between one house of submitters and a hundred thousand or more - this is proven by the difference in chapter numbers (37 - 51) which is 14.
