يُدَبِّرُ ٱلۡأَمۡرَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ إِلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ ثُمَّ يَعۡرُجُ إِلَيۡهِ فِى يَوۡمٍ۬ كَانَ مِقۡدَارُهُ ۥۤ أَلۡفَ سَنَةٍ۬ مِّمَّا تَعُدُّونَ ٥
All matters are controlled by Him from the Heaven to the Earth. They return to Him in a day which is equivalent to one thousand of your years.

Both of these verses, 32:5 and 70:4, analogize different yardsticks – a day equaling 1000 years and a day equaling 50,000 years. Moreover, GOD did not elaborate whether He is comparing with an ordinary year of humans based on 365 days or a “light year” which can be a totally different measurement. The humans can therefore never estimate or understand the true measurement that GOD has cited, except to conjecture about it.
