Logic And Reasons For Worshipping Allah
ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُمۡ ثُمَّ رَزَقَكُمۡ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُڪُمۡ ثُمَّ يُحۡيِيكُمۡۖ هَلۡ مِن شُرَكَآٮِٕكُم مَّن يَفۡعَلُ مِن ذَٲلِكُم مِّن شَىۡءٍ۬ۚ سُبۡحَـٰنَهُ ۥ وَتَعَـٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يُشۡرِكُونَ ٤٠
ALLAH is the One who creates you, then provides for you. He (is the One who) puts you to death, and then resurrects you. Can any of your idols do any of these things? Be He Glorified. He is much too exalted to have any partners.

30:40 - the Absoluteness of Allah is reflected by telling the people that He created them, provides for them, puts them to death and is the only One who will resurrect them. Through the verse he has questioned and challenged the idol worshippers, whether their idols can do any of these things, therefore He has stated He is the only Glorified One and much too exalted to have any partners.
