يَـٰٓأَهۡلَ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ لِمَ تَلۡبِسُونَ ٱلۡحَقَّ بِٱلۡبَـٰطِلِ وَتَكۡتُمُونَ ٱلۡحَقَّ وَأَنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ ٧١

O followers of the scripture, why do you confound the truth with falsehood, and conceal the truth, knowingly?

    Verse 3:71 addresses the disbelieving followers of the scripture and questions them as to why they confound (mix) the truth with falsehood, and knowingly conceal the truth; it is marked with 16 Allah letters, revealing the diff. of 2 between verse 2:42 on “command” and verse 3:71 that “questions” their willful sin of gross idolatry. The disbelievers remain unaware that ALLAH is the Hearer and the Seer of everything, and even the smallest of their actions and hidden thoughts are known to Him.
