وَيَوۡمَ يَحۡشُرُهُمۡ وَمَا يَعۡبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللهِ فَيَقُولُ ءَأَنتُمۡ أَضۡلَلۡتُمۡ عِبَادِى هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ أَمۡ هُمۡ ضَلُّواْ ٱلسَّبِيلَ ١٧
On the day when He summons them, together with the idols they had set up beside ALLAH, He will say, "Have you misled these servants of Mine, or did they go astray on their own?"

***This example above highlights the fact that the reverent respond to ALLAH by glorifying Him. I have already stated in my comments above, under 25:17-18 that the messengers take their commands from ALLAH and deliver His purified message to the people. The wicked and disbelieving people then distort the message either during the messenger’s life or after he dies.
