One Allah/One Religion

21:92

إِنَّ هَـٰذِهِۦۤ أُمَّتُكُمۡ أُمَّةً۬ وَٲحِدَةً۬ وَأَنَا۟ رَبُّڪُمۡ فَٱعۡبُدُونِ ٩٢

Your congregation is but one congregation, and I alone am your Lord; you shall worship Me only.

Proofs and revelations

This is part of the pair of verses – 21:92 and 23:52 – which enlighten the people that the congregation of Allah is always one and He alone is the Lord, therefore they should worship and reverence Him. Based on these verses, the breaking up of one religion into sects and factions is prohibited and condemned by Him. The one congregation mentioned by Allah is through His messengers.

21:93 (Follow up to 21:92) However, they divided themselves into disputing religions. All of them will come back to us (for judgment).23:53-54 (Follow up to 23:52) But they tore themselves into disputing factions; each party happy with what they have. Therefore, just leave them in their confusion, for awhile.

  4. DISPUTING THE ONE CONGREGATION OF ALLAH– Dividing into Sects Page 17

Note that the actual verses on “one congregation”, 21:92 & 23:52 revealed the “Revelation of 1” and the verses on “disputing factions and sects” 21:93 & 23:53-54 have revealed the “Revelation of 14 – Seven Pairs” through the letters of the messenger’s name in both instances. This has provided a solid stamp and seal of GOD in defining these miracles to be the Ultimate in nature.
