وَمَا خَلَقۡنَا ٱلسَّمَآءَ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَا بَيۡنَہُمَا لَـٰعِبِينَ ١٦
We did not create the Heavens and the Earth, and everything between them just for amusement.
Proofs and revelations
Verses 21:16, 17, 18, 19: The purpose of creation of the Heavens and the Earth and everything between them is elaborated in these verses. It is clearly stated by Allah that these have not been created for any amusement; rather He created it for a specific purpose which is to support the Truth against Falsehood that satan initiated.
Verse 21:19 explains that the sole purpose of creation is to worship the Creator without any arrogance as satan was arrogant. The test is being conducted by making him a second temporary god until the Day of Judgment. This is in accordance of the plan of Truth (from the Creator - Allah) vs Falsehood (instilled by satan in the minds of the people).
