The Quran Confirms All Past Scriptures And Supersedes Them
وَلَمَّا جَآءَهُمۡ كِتَـٰبٌ۬ مِّنۡ عِندِ ٱللهِ مُصَدِّقٌ۬ لِّمَا مَعَهُمۡ وَكَانُواْ مِن قَبۡلُ يَسۡتَفۡتِحُونَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُم مَّا عَرَفُواْ ڪَفَرُواْ بِهِۦۚ فَلَعۡنَةُ ٱللهِ عَلَى ٱلۡكَـٰفِرِينَ ٨٩
When this scripture came to them from ALLAH, and even though it agrees with, and confirms what they have, and even though they used to prophesy its advent when they talked with the disbelievers, when their own prophecy came to pass, they disbelieved therein. ALLAH’s condemnation thus afflicts the disbelievers.

Verses 2:89-90 are detailed and reveal proofs through Allah’s letters, His Absoluteness of Aleef, and messenger letters. The verses explain that the Quran as well as the gentile prophet was prophesied in the Torah and Injeel – the people of the scriptures used to prophesy its advent as they knew about the prophesy mentioned in their scriptures, but when Allah finally sent it down and revealed it to the gentile prophet, Muhammad, they disbelieved in him and the scripture, simply out of sheer resentment and jealousy…

Faith Or Idolatry Explained Through Chapter Al-Fateha (#1)
When we convert these numbers into a chapter and a verse; we get 2 verses, which are 32:9 and 28:9. This phenomenon could be argued by the doubters as to why we did not take these numbers to be verses 3:29 and 2:89.
