وَلَا تَلۡبِسُواْ ٱلۡحَقَّ بِٱلۡبَـٰطِلِ وَتَكۡتُمُواْ ٱلۡحَقَّ وَأَنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ ٤٢

Verse 3:71 addresses the disbelieving followers of the scripture and questions them as to why they confound (mix) the truth with falsehood, and knowingly conceal the truth; it is marked with 16 Allah letters, revealing the diff. of 2 between verse 2:42 on “command” and verse 3:71 that “questions” their willful sin of gross idolatry.
