Idolatry In Any Form Is Prohibited
17:57
أُوْلَـٰٓٮِٕكَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَدۡعُونَ يَبۡتَغُونَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمُ ٱلۡوَسِيلَةَ أَيُّہُمۡ أَقۡرَبُ وَيَرۡجُونَ رَحۡمَتَهُ ۥ وَيَخَافُونَ عَذَابَهُ ۥۤۚ إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ كَانَ مَحۡذُورً۬ا ٥٧
Even the idols that they implore are seeking the ways and means (to get closer) to their Lord. They pray for His mercy, and fear His retribution. Surely, the retribution of your Lord is dreadful.
