The Friday

يُسَبِّحُ لِلَّهِ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ ٱلۡمَلِكِ ٱلۡقُدُّوسِ ٱلۡعَزِيزِ ٱلۡحَكِيمِ ﴿1﴾

Glorifying ALLAH is everything in the Heavens and everything on Earth; the King, The Most Sacred, the Almighty, The Most Wise.

هُوَ ٱلَّذِى بَعَثَ فِى ٱلۡأُمِّيِّـۧنَ رَسُولاً۬ مِّنۡہُمۡ يَتۡلُواْ عَلَيۡہِمۡ ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ وَيُزَكِّيهِمۡ وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ وَٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ وَإِن كَانُواْ مِن قَبۡلُ لَفِى ضَلَـٰلٍ۬ مُّبِينٍ۬ ﴿2﴾

He is the One who sent to the gentiles a messenger from among them, to recite to them His revelations, purify them, and teach them the scripture and wisdom. Before this, they had gone far astray.

وَءَاخَرِينَ مِنۡہُمۡ لَمَّا يَلۡحَقُواْ بِهِمۡۚ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡحَكِيمُ ﴿3﴾

And to many generations subsequent to them. He is the Almighty, Most Wise.

ذَٲلِكَ فَضۡلُ ٱللهِ يُؤۡتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُۚ وَٱللَّهُ ذُو ٱلۡفَضۡلِ ٱلۡعَظِيمِ ﴿4﴾

Such is ALLAH’s grace that He bestows upon whomever He wills. ALLAH is Possessor of Infinite Grace.

مَثَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ حُمِّلُواْ ٱلتَّوۡرَٮٰةَ ثُمَّ لَمۡ يَحۡمِلُوهَا كَمَثَلِ ٱلۡحِمَارِ يَحۡمِلُ أَسۡفَارَۢاۚ بِئۡسَ مَثَلُ ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَـٰتِ ٱللهِۚ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَهۡدِى ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ ﴿5﴾

The example of those who were given the Torah, then failed to uphold it, is like the donkey carrying great works of literature. Miserable indeed is the example of people who rejected ALLAH’s revelations. ALLAH does not guide the wicked people.

قُلۡ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ هَادُوٓاْ إِن زَعَمۡتُمۡ أَنَّكُمۡ أَوۡلِيَآءُ لِلَّهِ مِن دُونِ ٱلنَّاسِ فَتَمَنَّوُاْ ٱلۡمَوۡتَ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَـٰدِقِينَ ﴿6﴾

Say, “O you who are Jewish, if you claim that you are ALLAH’s chosen, to the exclusion of all other people, then you should long for death if you are truthful!”

وَلَا يَتَمَنَّوۡنَهُۥٓ أَبَدَۢا بِمَا قَدَّمَتۡ أَيۡدِيهِمۡۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمُۢ بِٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ ﴿7﴾

They will never long for it, because of what they have committed. ALLAH is fully aware of the wicked.

قُلۡ إِنَّ ٱلۡمَوۡتَ ٱلَّذِى تَفِرُّونَ مِنۡهُ فَإِنَّهُۥ مُلَـٰقِيكُمۡۖ ثُمَّ تُرَدُّونَ إِلَىٰ عَـٰلِمِ ٱلۡغَيۡبِ وَٱلشَّهَـٰدَةِ فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ ﴿8﴾

Say, “The death that you are trying to evade is inevitable; it will come to you sooner or later, then you will meet Him. Then you will be returned to the Knower of all secrets and declarations, and He will inform you of everything you had done.”

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِذَا نُودِىَ لِلصَّلَوٰةِ مِن يَوۡمِ ٱلۡجُمُعَةِ فَٱسۡعَوۡاْ إِلَىٰ ذِكۡرِ ٱللهِ وَذَرُواْ ٱلۡبَيۡعَۚ ذَٲلِكُمۡ خَيۡرٌ۬ لَّكُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ ﴿9﴾

O you who believe, when the Congregational Prayer (Salat Al-Jumu‘ah) is announced on Friday, you shall hasten to the commemoration of ALLAH, and drop all business. This is better for you, if you only knew.

فَإِذَا قُضِيَتِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةُ فَٱنتَشِرُواْ فِى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَٱبۡتَغُواْ مِن فَضۡلِ ٱللهِ وَٱذۡكُرُواْ ٱللَّهَ كَثِيرً۬ا لَّعَلَّكُمۡ تُفۡلِحُونَ ﴿10﴾

Once the prayer is completed, you may spread through the land to seek ALLAH’s bounties, and continue to remember ALLAH frequently, that you may succeed.

وَإِذَا رَأَوۡاْ تِجَـٰرَةً أَوۡ لَهۡوًا ٱنفَضُّوٓاْ إِلَيۡهَا وَتَرَكُوكَ قَآئِمً۬اۚ قُلۡ مَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ خَيۡرٌ۬ مِّنَ ٱللَّهۡوِ وَمِنَ ٱلتِّجَـٰرَةِۚ وَٱللَّهُ خَيۡرُ ٱلرَّٲزِقِينَ ﴿11﴾

When some of them come across a business deal, or some entertainment, they rush to it and leave you standing! Say, “What ALLAH possesses is far better than the entertainment or the business. ALLAH is the best Provider.”
